Inspirado en los poderosos temas de la mitología del Koi, THEKOIWAY combina música y performance como una forma de reflexión personal del recorrido de Víctor Vildósola, representando la lucha cotidiana en el mundo moderno y demostrando que es posible hacerla transversal y significativa para otros. Para Víctor, la música es un vehículo para difundir un mensaje de justicia social y conciencia global.
Su visión escénica incluye proyecciones visuales, actores, bailarines, escenografías detalladas y elementos teatrales, todo diseñado para acentuar la energía musical y el mensaje que busca transmitir. La banda ha tocado en diversos escenarios dentro de Estados Unidos, y hasta la fecha ha lanzado seis singles como THEKOIWAY: Libertad, Celebrar, Wengamen, Cages, y recientemente El Juego de la Vida, con la participación de Juan Sativo de Tiro de Gracia, ícono del hip hop latinoamericano.
Para 2022 se proyecta un nuevo EP con colaboraciones de alto calibre como Raúl Zurita, Héctor Noguera (Premio Nacional e Internacional de Artes) y Juan (Sativo) Salazar (ex Tiro de Gracia). Además, se contemplan conciertos, masterclasses, estrenos de videoclips y participación en convenciones de la industria musical, con el objetivo de consolidar el proyecto a nivel internacional.

THEKOIWAY, led by the Chilean music producer Víctor Vildósola, based in Brooklyn, New York, launches its first single "Libertad" in collaboration with award-winning Chilean Evelyn Cornejo and Mateo Alan, Ecuadorian Singer/MC based in Long Island, NY. Freedom will be available from June 5, 2019 (Earth Day), with this single "LIBERTAD", THEKOIWAY kicks off his road map of collaborations with different international artists and musicians.
Víctor a.k.a KØI, has researched different rhythms and artistic/musical tendencies in different coordinates of the globe and has been a member of different relevant Chilean and international solo artists and bands. As a consequence of all this artistic path, he decided to create the "THEKOIWAY", which he describes as "A sonorous-artistic, exploratory and cultural project"; and that comes alive with his first single called "FREEDOM".
Freedom, it is given to the public to be an anthem, to reinforce the right to be alive, to recover its integrity and freedom as a person, it is a call to "non-discrimination", to equality, to freedom of speech, of conscience and of thought, it is a profound invitation to connect with the origin, from respect and solidarity.
