The experienced Chilean musician Víctor Vildósola prepares the release of the first album from his most personal project. By Raimundo Flores S.

First in Chile, then in Mexico, and finally in the United States—that’s how the musical career of Víctor Vildósola has unfolded. Among many things, he was part of La Pozze Latina and has collaborated with artists like Mariel Mariel and Rebel Diaz, with whom he settled in New York in 2013. There, Vildósola formed the duo Dirty Delorean, and shortly after, in 2017, he created Thekoiway on his own.

Earlier this month, THEKOIWAY returned to the studio to begin recording a new wave of music set for release throughout 2025. The session took place in a top-tier recording facility in Brooklyn and included core band members and guest collaborators. The process is deeply rooted in the group's signature blend of Latin American rhythms, electronic textures, and global sounds. The new material explores themes of migration, personal resilience, and the current sociopolitical climate—continuing THEKOIWAY’s tradition of mixing powerful lyrics with genre-defying sonic palettes.
